Hi, I’m Alina, and I strive to create a space where people feel heard, supported, and empowered in their recovery journey. My lived experience includes navigating mental health challenges, overcoming major life transitions, and finding resilience through community and personal growth. I also have over 10 years of experience working one-on-one with students, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and navigate personal and academic challenges. Through this work, I’ve seen firsthand how guidance, patience, and encouragement can make a meaningful difference in someone's journey.

What can members expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am here for you as your sidekick to listen, brainstorm together, look for solutions and resources, and come up with attainable goals and steps to achieve them. Whether it’s improving communication skills, navigating employment opportunities, or finding ways to manage daily challenges, I strive to provide practical tools, peer-led guidance, and a sense of connection. My background in education also allows me to break down complex topics into manageable steps, making learning and growth feel more approachable. Most importantly, members will leave with the understanding that they are not alone in their journey.

Explain to members what areas you feel are your biggest strengths?

One of my biggest strengths is my ability to connect with people in a real and authentic way. I understand the ups and downs of recovery, and I approach each person’s experience with compassion, without judgment, and with a bit of humor when it's needed. Sometimes, laughter can be just as healing as deep conversation, and I believe in creating a space where people can feel at ease.
I also enjoy helping others build practical skills—whether it’s job readiness, technology use, or research skills. I am a fan of taking action and growing your confidence through it. That being said, I fully understand how mental health challenges can affect energy levels, cognitive abilities, and motivation. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is rest, recover, and be kind to yourself. Progress isn’t always about moving forward quickly—it’s about moving in the right way for you. Let’s figure this out together.
