Hi I'm Dan. I grew up in San Diego, CA, where I spent much of my time on the baseball field, learning the values of teamwork, perseverance, and resilience—lessons that continue to shape my approach to life and peer support today. I studied Communication and Psychology at UC San Diego, where I developed a deep interest in understanding how people think, feel, and deal with life’s challenges. But like many, my journey has been filled with unexpected detours—bouts of anxiety, seasonal depression, many career transitions, and personal growth. Through my love of travel, I’ve met people from all walks of life and learned that healing, self-discovery, and resilience look different for everyone. I believe that no matter where you are in your journey, you deserve a space where you feel heard, understood, and empoweredand that’s exactly what I strive to offer in my peer support work.

Life can throw some serious curveballs, and I know firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate those challenges alone. My lived experience includes overcoming mental health struggles, career uncertainty, and life transitions—all while learning to embrace resilience along the way. Traveling by airplane, bus, RV, and everything in between has given me a unique perspective on adapting to change, embracing new environments, and meeting people where they are—both physically and emotionally.

In my work, I’ve supported individuals across all stages of life—from young adults seeking direction to seniors navigating new chapters. Whether it’s helping someone rebuild after a setback, discover their strengths, or simply find a moment of peace in a chaotic world, I bring an open-minded, compassionate, and real-world approach to every conversation.

What can members expect to take away from sessions with you?

When you connect with me, you can expect a non-judgmental, supportive, and engaging space where you can:

  • Gain clarity and confidence in your journey

  • Recognize your strengths and the resilience you already have

  • Explore new perspectives and coping strategies

  • Feel heard, valued, and supported

Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, I walk alongside you, helping you uncover your own answers—whether it’s approaching a tough emotion, employment assistance, processing life changes, or finding a renewed sense of purpose.

Explain to members what areas you feel are your biggest strengths?

One of my greatest strengths is creating a safe and welcoming space for people to be themselves without fear of judgment or pressure. I believe in meeting people where they are, emotionally and mentally, and allowing them to set the pace for their healing and growth. Through my background in mental health advocacy, employment support, and storytelling, I also help individuals reframe their personal narratives in an empowering way—because the way we see ourselves can shape the way we move forward. I’m here to support you, encourage you, and remind you that you are not alone.
