Hello, my name is Nelly Charles. I’ve been working with children since 2009 as a Youth Leader. Originally from New York, I currently live in Florida. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Farmingdale State College in 2013 and my medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in 2020. Trust is a core value for me and the foundation of all the meaningful relationships I build. I also prioritize compassion, empathy, integrity, and creating a sense of comfort—qualities I believe are essential in healing and forming strong connections. I’m deeply committed to helping others and have overcome many personal challenges in my own life. Growing up with younger siblings has shown me just how important it is to have someone in your corner, guiding you through life’s challenges

What can members expect to take away from sessions with you?

Members can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where we can openly explore what brought them to therapy. Together, we will create a plan tailored to their goals and identify strategies to overcome any obstacles. Since each individual is unique, I will take the time to understand their specific needs and determine the best approach for their personal journey.

Explain to members what areas you feel are your biggest strengths?

As a peer support, I simplify complex concepts to make them easy to understand. I’m an active listener, offering practical advice that can be applied to daily life, while also tailoring our discussions to meet each individual’s needs. My aim is to make things clearer, more manageable, and to bring some joy and laughter into the lives of those I work with. Ultimately, my goal is to support each person on their healing journey
