Hello! My name is Toby and I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose been working with clients for 28 years. This experience has led me to meet and work with thousands of clients throughout the country and world to expand my understanding of the complexities and struggles which are part of the growth process. I've learned through active engagement, demonstrating consistency, and applying effective techniques and tools those I work with experience effective and sustainable growth. I graduated from Boston College and and continued to get my MSW in 1996. My experiences have allowed me to witness the process it takes to work through many of the struggles we face in life, and the the power of change and what occurs when clients choose to actively engage in growth. I've had multiple roles throughout my career which has given me great insight into the treatment process. My depth of experience has given me great insight and allows me to effectively engage, address, and provide positive outcomes for clinically complex issues such as trauma, pain, depression and anxiety disorders. My dedication to working with chronic pain is both personal and professional as my family has been greatly impacted by the complications and reality that follows chronic pain for over a decade. I've committed to improving the outcomes all around for both those impacted by the pain, and those who engage to support the ones who pain they can't take away.
What can members expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to have a good connection and feel comfortable addressing what is going on in their lives. Given my experience and clinical knowledge, I'm able to apply multiple methods based on the current needs of clients. I will individualize the approach and methods based on what is needed and currently going on for the clients I work with, while following safe practice and effective treatment outcomes. Engaging in CBT, DBT, time effective solution based therapy, and understanding the sustainable self all may utilized based on your healing and growth path. In your first session you can expect to have a good connection while sharing your experiences and engaging to set your growth and healing plan.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths?
I consider my ability to connect with individuals struggling, while becoming an ally to be my greatest strengths as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
